Find people near you who also have a radar session running. Set how far it reaches and how long it lasts, then see who is around right now.
Spark Mode
Get an alert when someone who matches your preferences passes close by. Both of you need Spark Mode switched on and a radar session running.
Blind Date Mode
Browse with photos hidden. Age, gender, bio, distance, the profile details and the voice intro are all still there. After a match, photos stay hidden only when both of you have Blind Date Mode on.
Safe Date
Let someone you trust follow along while you are out. Your guardian sees your live location, sees your check-ins, and gets an urgent alert if you stop answering or press the emergency button.
VibeSwipe
Choose your current mood and swipe through profiles that match your vibe. Dating by energy, not just looks.
Club Mode
One tap narrows Spark to about 50 metres, so it covers the room you are in rather than the whole street. It switches itself off after three hours, and you can switch it off the moment you leave. Spark Mode needs to be on for it to do anything.
How It Works
Getting started with NearbyLove is easy.
Download the App
Get NearbyLove from Google Play. It is free to download. There is no iPhone version yet.
Create Your Profile
Sign in with your Google account, add your photos and bio, and record an optional voice intro. Google is the only way in, and the date of birth you give is checked against an 18 minimum. Anyone who once enters a date under 18 cannot set a different one afterwards, which is part of how we keep minors off the app.
Start Discovering
Start a radar session, turn on Spark Mode, or try Voice Dating. Who you see depends on who else has a session running near you at that moment.

We do not promise safety. We build tools that can help with it, and we tell you where each one stops.
Location Privacy
Your exact location is never shared with other users. In the radar and anywhere else people can find you, they see you at a nearby point on a fixed grid rather than where you really are, and from the same place that point is always the same, so it cannot be averaged out. The one person who can be shown your real position is a Safe Date guardian you chose, during a session you started.
Safe Date
Let someone you trust follow your live location during a date. You check in at an interval you set, and if you stop answering, our server alerts your guardian on its own and keeps alerting them. A guardian is a person you chose, not an emergency service.
Photo Screening
Every photo is held before it is published and screened. Anything the screener cannot clear goes to a person to look at rather than straight onto the app, and if the screener is unavailable the photo is held rather than published. Photos are also checked against Project Arachnid Shield, run by the Canadian Centre for Child Protection. Only a short mathematical fingerprint of the image leaves our server, never the picture itself.
Report and Block
Block anyone at any time, and report anyone who makes you uncomfortable. A block works in both directions and everywhere in the app: once either of you has blocked the other, neither of you appears to the other anywhere. Every report is read by a person, and reports about someone appearing underage go to the front of the queue. We do not check anyone's identity or background, so treat every profile as somebody you have not met yet.
A block is complete, and it works both ways. The moment either of you blocks the other, neither of you appears to the other anywhere: not in the radar, not in Spark, not in matches or match requests, not in messages, not in date sessions, not in Voice Dating, and neither of you can open the other's profile. It is not a mute that leaves you visible. The filter runs on our server on every one of those surfaces, and it runs for both people whichever one of you pressed it.
Our Safety Pledge
Safety is not a premium feature. Safe Date, guardians and the emergency button are free for everyone on every plan, and they are deliberately left out of the table that defines what any plan gets, so there is nothing there to move behind a payment.
