See who's out near you, right now.
Start a search for the time and distance you choose, and see who else is searching nearby at this moment. Everyone who shows up is actually out there, not an old profile.
How it works
-
1
Choose how long and how far
From half an hour to 4 hours, and from 500 metres to 4 kilometres.
-
2
Start
Add a short note people nearby will see if you like, and hide your photo until you decide to share it.
-
3
See who's around and connect
Tap someone, read their profile, listen to their voice intro and send "Connect". When they accept, you're friends and can talk.
Radar night: every Thursday at 21:00
From 21:00 to 23:00, in your own local time, everybody turns on the radar together. Come see who's around.
How it works
Saturday, 5:40 pm. You're in the park with a coffee.
You start the radar for an hour, with a one-kilometre reach. Three dots appear. One of them, 350 metres away, wrote "Anyone up for a run in the park?". You read her bio, hear her voice intro and tap "Connect". Ten minutes later you're planning the second lap.

What you see about each person
- The first two letters of their name. The full name only after you match.
- Age, and a distance rounded to 50 metres.
- A photo, unless they chose to hide it.
- Their note, bio, profile details and voice intro.
- A match percentage based on goals, lifestyle and age.
What you don't see: where exactly anyone is. Not you on their screen, and not them on yours.
What to know
You only see people searching right now
And others only see you while you're searching. When your search ends, you disappear from the radar.
Where others see you
At a fixed point in the middle of a square on the map, up to about 177 metres from where you really are (about 71 metres if you choose "Show closer location"). From the same place the point is always the same, so several readings can't be combined to find you. "My Spot" shows you exactly what others see.
Keeps going when the app is closed
If you leave searching outside the app switched on, a quiet "Radar is active" notification stays until the search ends. The app never asks for "all the time" location access.
When it ends, it's deleted
A search stops when the time runs out or when you tap "Stop". The location kept for the search and your note are deleted when it ends.
Who shows up for you
People within the distance you chose whose preferences and yours match both ways, such as age and gender. Anyone you blocked, or who blocked you, doesn't appear.
Reach by plan
Free 1 km, Plus 2 km, Premium 4 km. Founding members get 2 months of Plus as a gift, counted from the day paid plans open.
Questions about the radar
Can someone find my home from the radar?
No. Others see a distance rounded to 50 metres to a fixed point, up to about 177 metres from where you really are. From the same place that point doesn't change, so many readings don't get anyone closer to your exact location.
Why do I sometimes see nobody?
The radar only shows people searching right now, within the distance you chose. At quiet times, widen the distance or keep your search on a little longer. Anyone who starts searching nearby will show up.
Who can see me?
Only people who are searching at the same time, who have you within the distance they chose, and whose preferences match yours. Someone with a wider reach can see you even if you can't see them.
What's the difference between the radar and Spark Mode?
With the radar you look at who's around. Spark Mode works for you: when someone who fits you passes very close, both phones get an alert, even if you weren't looking at the screen.
